Lister Hospital – placed our late father on LCP without oxygen, IV fluids or nutrition from 16th Dec – 23rd Dec 2012. He had to demand for pain relief. We were informed that he could not hear or feel, yet he was in a great deal pain and stress though he could not verbally communicate this.
Prior to his death he was there for 5 days for a CT Scan, his discharged notes confirmed he had a CT scan yet he did not. We had to demand a CT scan.
Prior to this he was admitted after a fall, his colostomy bag split and the nurse refused to clean him. We had to ask for water to clean our father.
We have asked many questions and required information under the Freedom of Information Act and they have chose to ignore. They have also stated they cannot answer our questions as they have lost his notes. PALS have not been helpful. I am still waiting a reply since Aug 2013.
